Stress shows up physically, emotionally and mentally. What isn’t always known is pur historical relationship to stress, and the social and generational ways it impacts us in our lifetimes. In this Lab, you’ll:
1. Understanding myths and messages you’ve absorbed around stress, exploring how they are passed down through family dynamics and observational cues.
2. Review self-expectations that are impacted by these socialized messages.
3. Explore the powerful influences of generational stress responses for Black women.
4. Explore a framework to assess and address these generational messages to break harmful cycles.
