What have you discovered through your exploration of "Dear Self?"
I really enjoyed the "Dear Self" video on reflecting with intention. It was refreshing to hear the words of affirmation while going through the meditation and highlighting the importance of being intentional. I think I've discovered I can get into a good rhythm of participating wellness practices but sometimes lack the intention behind it which sometimes makes it feel as though it's another to-do item without a real purpose.
Has anyone else found the "Reflecting with Intention" from the Dear Self series helpful? Are there other ones that other's particularly like from the Dear Self series?
Hi Stephen - that's one of my favorite from the Dear Self series as well! I found that going through the entire series at my own pace has been super helpful in building small wellness practices from my learning. I think one thing I've learned from the "Reflecting with Intention" Wave was the value and importance in breathe work.
Hope you continue to find support and joy in your journey!
Alex, this series has been powerful for me. I listen to it almost every other day. Sometimes I'll put meditations on repeat. I learn something new each time. I also didn't know Alex Elle was an accomplished author as well. I've fallen over myself to order your books! This series is changing my life...thank you.
Hi Farmer - this is so great to hear! I'm so encouraged you love the Dear Self series, and it's been a powerful tool to help you along your journey. Which session is your favorite? Thank you for sharing!
Mark, I'd definitely say it was the last one: Healing a Forever Journey, I mean, they are all good. The beauty of this one is that it's a reminder: not everything is a teachable moment nor will it be easy, give yourself grace to get it wrong and to get back up and keep going. A step is a step.
Farmer, that's so great to hear! Couldn't agree more. I think the beautiful thing about the Dear Self series is that it speaks to everyone no matter where you are in your mental health journey. Whether you're still in the discovery phase or you're looking for new ways to reconnect with yourself, the series has something for everyone. A step is better than no steps at all!
I look forward to hearing more about your other learnings from Dear Self. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾
